Curiosity or Judgment?

“Did you consider X?”

“Did you test Y?”

“Why didn’t you run with Z?”

Each of these could be questions that come from a place of sincere curiosity. Alternatively, each of these could be harsh, judgment-filled statements that are not-so-subtly wrapped up with a question mark.

The former invites connection, idea sharing, mutual understanding, and collaboration. The latter invites disconnection, divisiveness, fear, and hurt.

Curiosity or judgment: which are you seeking to bring into your interactions?
