A common decision made by many organizations and individuals alike is indecision.
Whether the decision-makers realize it or not, choosing to punt a decision into the future is a decision.
The thing is, when those decision-makers come back to the postponed decision, they’re probably not coming back to the same decision.
As time passes, the risks relating to the decision change. These risks can significantly impact the lens through which to interpret the insights and information that inform the decision as well as the possible outcomes.
Before deciding not to decide and to kick a decision down the road, consider how much time you have before the risks change. That will inform how near or far you can kick the decision before it’s no longer the same decision.
If your decision is indecision, make sure it’s an informed decision.
