Just because you know how ingenious something is, doesn’t mean everyone else does.

Innovation is creating new or better ways of doing valued things.

Innovation can also be creating a new appreciation of an existing thing so others see the value of it.

As Peter Drucker said, “There is only one valid definition of business purpose: to create a customer… Because it is its purpose to create a customer, any business enterprise has two – and only the two – basic functions: marketing and innovation. They are the entrepreneurial functions.”

Sometimes, marketing is innovation.
