How do you know when someone sees potential in your idea?
They start iterating with you on it.
They grab a whiteboard marker and create a frame on a digital whiteboard so they can work it out with you and play with possibilities. They bring their curiosity and perspective to help you unlock the potential in the idea.
Sometimes, when someone starts iterating on our idea, we take it as a sign that they don’t value it, when many times it’s a signal of just the opposite.
If they didn’t see potential in the idea, they’re more likely to ignore it or dismiss it entirely, not work with you to develop it further.
Their eagerness to iterate on the idea is a sign of enrollment.
