There are two must haves to any great product or service:
- Having a great product or service that solves a real need
- Earning the trust of those you seek to serve
If you have a great product or service that solves a real need, but those you seek to serve don’t trust you, then you don’t yet have a great product or service in their eyes. You’ve got to earn their trust so you can earn their business.
If you have the trust of those you seek to serve, but you don’t have a great product or service that solves a real need for them, you may get an initial sale, but then risk losing your customers’ trust—which means losing your customers too. You’ve got to improve your product or service.
